Re: Hilux LSD
Clutch pack? Ratio? Condition? Complete unit or just pumpkin?
Re: Hilux LSD
It's a clutch type LSD. It's just the diff centre so its doesnt have a crown. Previous owner took it apart and checked everything and it was all in good condition. Came out of a 2003 hilux which had done 113,000 km's.Looonie wrote:Clutch pack? Ratio? Condition? Complete unit or just pumpkin?

Re: Hilux LSD
Live axle diffs don't suit IRS rears. No retaining groves on the side gears for the stub axles. Clutch types are shit, breakaway torque's shit and they have a stupid tendency to go open when and where they feel like. 200 however is a very reasonable price.
I suoprt pulik ejukashun!

Re: Hilux LSD
Torsens crap haha
Re: Hilux LSD
As a street diff for going places quickly, without chirping wheels when trying to parallel park etc, torsen is awesome. For holding drift angle, not so awesome.
Re: Hilux LSD
For holding together... Not so awesome.
Blew mine to pieces
Also can be quite agressive in the wet coming off intersections
(Mrs now understands opposite lock and I'm ok with her sobering... Kind of haha)
