ToyoDIY.com

Post by SimonMkII »

Don't know if any of you guys have heard of toyodiy.com. It's got parts listings for pretty much all Toyotas. There's also a section for "tech write ups" which appears to just be links to other toyota tech stuff around the web. I've really only used the parts listing bit of the site.
Anyway, it's a really awesome resource for figuring out if parts are interchangeble between different years/models. Also means you can go to the dealer with part numbers of those odd parts that the dealer is unable/too useless to find themselves.

If anyone is unsure how to use it just post up here and I'll try to help out. I do spare parts for a living (not toyota...) so I have a good grasp of how the listings work, they can be confusing at times. I was going to write up a quick tutorial but I'm at work so I should probably be doing some work...

That would make sense, arent 98 up all series 2? his is series 1 so 97 seems more correct?

Manufactured in 97..98 when it was sold and registered so it still makes sense
"Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,
Torque is how far you take the wall with you."
