My new JZX110 from Aussie

Post by davealdworth »

So well here goes the beginning or a small speel. I moved from NZ to Adelaide 2 years ago and had to give up my JZX110 before I moved over because it would have been too expensive at the time to ship it over. So instead I bought a JZA80 Supra and had a bit of fun with that while I saved up my beans. The time has come where I have now bought a FACTORY MANUAL JZX110. As of yesterday it was bought and now I have the long wait for it to arrive from Japan through Top Secret Imports based in Sydney. Here are a few pics of it

This one is 60,000kms factory manual with cusco sways, coilovers (maybe buddy club), trust intercooler, vertex kit (lower lip only on the front), full HID kit, tomei trax 2way diff, recaro sr4 drivers seat and some other nick nacks to keep me happy for a while. This was a grade 4B from japan has a full service logbook and owner history and the such. Only one owner well now two and was only serviced by Toyota Japan so its a huge bonus for me

Once it lands it will be a bit of a fun time car with the "chromies" getting the boot and some nice work emotions or similar fitted, new recaro sr7s fitted in the front and a few other things to make it that little bit different, including an already built 2jzgte with full stroker kit and race built head (but thats about a year away want to have some fun with the 1j first).

Like i said above its a case of wait and wait for it to arrive and get through the compliance stages which are no worries

yea I'm not a fan of them either. That's getting replaced with a shorter lever and a trd knob. But still just have to play the waiting game. It's going to be a long painful wait for it

Jealous of the vertex lip kit!!!
Nice example you have there mate, look like the same coilovers as mine, buddy club junior spec, make sure you uprate the spring rates big time when it arrives

Yea its either Buddy club or Largus, apparently theyre a popular coilover with the japs. Im changing them out for Cusco Zero 2's straight away and the lip is going. Getting a proper Vertex front bumper, doesnt make sense to have one on the back and a lip on the front so I'll sort that out ;). But stoked that it has half of the BPU done already so saves me a bit of stuffing about and I can concentrate more on the in a year 2jzgte conversion side of the car

Getting ready to put down my shopping list for the next few months. Since I no have a security lock up. No space getting taken up in the house. I win

This list consists of
Trust/Sard alloy radiator JZX110 specific -Check
Sard thermo -Check
APP braided brake and clutch lines -Check
Project Mu pads and rotors combo (looking at Ksport or Brembo kits if I can find one to suit with little modification)
Project Mu floating lock nuts-Check
Cusco front strut brace and lower braces front and rear-Check
Blitz air intake-Check
Tomei arms turbo kit with downpipe and PONCAM to come not long after (will get dyno of just the turbo as hardly anyone has these results)
Bride RO seat rails -Check
Advan TCIII (was going to be work XT11s but they don't make them in 10" wide for the rears)-Check
Vertex front bumper-Check
Trust Coilovers (may also look at the cusco option)

So she will get a bit of a shock when stuff starts arriving in about 6-8weeks (perfect timing for the car to arrive) - may involve not happy woman but who cares, i buy car parts and that makes me happy
