Thanks guys. I've decided. -----> i'm gonna convert mine to manual

got the quote from NST. There's no way I can afford that much for parts alone.....

was talking to Jason from Japspares and he said he can swap some parts over to a JZX90/JZX100 R154 conversion package that it fits my x110. eg, tezza clutch pedal

I was wondering, should I wait for a "newer" x100 gearbox or should I settle for the one currently on trademe (x90)? re thrustwasher problem, not sure if this was solved with the x100 gearbox. people might say they're the same but at the end of the day, the x90 box is older.

did my maths and it's 3.5k for the x90/x100 conversion then I'll have to spend at least 500 bux to get the x110 bits, and a new clutch. Plus, I have to get three holes drilled on the firewall for the clutch master cylinder.

Andrew, where/how did you get this done? how much did you pay them for labour? TA

not sure if front driveshaft will fit but worst case it to just lengthen the auto. clutch lines are the same for x90 to x110.

thoughts?

jealous
I didn't realize the 110 R154 was not your normal Remote shift one, is there much of a difference?

i think it's a bit shorter (just a few mm). We pulled this out from a jzx110 and the shifter hole/partial gearbox tunnel was customised for the x110 shifter. people say it's the same length though?? Thrustwasher problem fixed on this one. Other than these, it's the same.

Oh wait, one more thing.... it's newer haha. manufacturing date DOES matter

hmmmm so is the r154 normally crisp in feeling???

better get used to how hard the clutch pedal is too..

the only thing is the used twin plate is making a weird cracking/grinding noise whilst under pressure/acceleration. Before installation, I knew it was a bit worn down (pressure plate's warped, clutch plate worn, etc). Seems like I'll need to purchase a rebuild kit through Ewan pretty soon ($1++ K) ugh!

Anyhow, it can hold for now as the grab is still pretty solid.
