some early shots after i started learning about how to mod a car. this is how old this shit is, these pics were actual printed photos that got scanned in, no digital camera!! musta been around 1997

as u can see i started in the soundoff thing before i went to actual performance, it was the thing to do at the time. here i am at the 1999 4&rotor nationals where i actually won the whole db drags - 150db haha awesome for the time.

so thats where the [LOFREQ] name and plates originated - 'low frequency'... hoho im so clever
anyway fast fwd a few yrs and i kept the sound system, turbo'd the motor, hybrid kit, and so on. managed to get into the 2004 autosalon final battle

loved that car. went from 62wkw to 173wkw stock block, just running turbolink, everyone said it would blow up in 2 weeks, went strong for 4yrs.
got rearended by a ford falcon in 2004 and written off. so i bought a taxi
turned into this

and then this
which managed this

sold in 2009 to a kid in new plymouth who im told stacked it into a bank, carjam still reports the rego is active but car is on exemption. man id love it back.
while the markII was being built i went thru a couple other GX71's - i had another markII bought no wof no reg for $200 as a parts car
but was in too good condition to wreck, so i legalised it and daily'd it, put in old suspension and wheels from my main markII and sold for $2000, nice a-ppreciation.
here's both of em in the back yard

i also got a mint GLXi which, despite the stock 1G-EU and auto, was the meanest cruiser. slammed it on random springs and some 15x8 +0 minilite copies, shit was tough. here both cars were at the FIRST oldschool classic car meet in cornwall park

and then i got the chaser.
