A few weeks later see was ready to be picked up so i could take her over to Evil_Si's house to get the exhaust made and a slight mod to the gearbox crossmember
Its a full 3" stainless with twin 2.5" tips and 2 mufflers.
Its not loud which is perfect for the summer cruising i have planned.
I was planning on getting it a quick WOF as it was a few days before christmas at this point but that was not to be

Re: Ryans JZX61 Mark 2
After i got it home, i painted the 8"s red aswell and fitted them along with the 9"s
As you can see, they looked good but height was an issue so i brought myself some S13 BCs and welded them over my struts
Old vs New
Unfortunatly i stuffed up my measurements when i was welding and it was going to get low enough for my liking as is but time wasnt on my side as i had a track day to get to

Re: Ryans JZX61 Mark 2
After that i decided to go to a NZHondas dyno day to get a number before parking it up and working on getting a cert..........
......but a friend decided to hold a drift day at meremere which i couldnt resist
I fitted my TRD centre that i got hold of and i was off
All was going well and i was doing better then i was expecting untill this happened...
I just got a little cocky and went way to fast around a cone and went straight into the armco
Lucky for me the damage was all repairable and the chassis was fine
Double lucky is the fact that while i was waiting for the 2jz to come over on the boat, i wrecked this gx61 just for its facelift front

Re: Ryans JZX61 Mark 2
So about 3 weeks later she looked like this
Just in time for my NZPC feature shoot
After that, it was full steam ahead for my cert which wasnt hard really, just boring, non performance mods lol

Re: Ryans JZX61 Mark 2
After the cert, WOF and REG were on the car, i went months without doing anything and was enjoying having it on the road again.
The non matching PFL rear bumper had always bugged me though, so when i found a FL one at a wreckers, it as back off the road and into the garage to get it fitted just in time for a cruise

A few months later i went down the line for Oldschool.co.nz nationals which included a gymkhana at the Tui brewery
It was then i realised that my rear subframe bushes clearly didnt enjoy the new power of the 2jz and they wanted out
So in with some new custom ones and she was like new

Re: Ryans JZX61 Mark 2
Now up to ruffly the present day
A few weeks ago i went to a friends drift day in Taupo which ended up involving alot of this
So the next step is to add some longer arms, shorted steering arms and have another go.
But not before getting another WOF and enjoying up the coming sunny weather
