What is everyone's plans for after the cruis e? I know there is a BBQ etc but the weather isn't looking great so is everyone heading back to Auckland or would you all be keen to go a local pub for a feed and a beer? I may know of a nice one

Well I've just got back from the cruise, a few less cars then expected, possibly due to the weather but still good catching up with everyone. Not many photos from me but Thomas looked like he got a few.

Oh my god, is that literally an R34 GTR and are the occupants alright? My heart has dropped just thinking that is possibly a genuine R34 GTR.

Yes its a GTR and yes insurance would cover it, from what those around them said they weren't speeding, its a slippery tesing piece of road and just an unfortunate thing. Know exactly how they feel, hope they are all ok.

Yup they are all ok, just shaken and shocked. I can't figure out how it happened. We were traveling up hill and the GTR somehow went from the left side across 3 lanes and off the side to the right. Perhaps he didn't want to turn back into oncoming traffic and just went off the side.

Yup a testing piece of road... as in water runs straight accross it in many places so you aqua plane as the drainage can't cope with the down pours, its open enough to be quite fast so people hit the brakes in the wrong places and after days of fine weather its really greasy too. There are serious crashes up there frequently, a full on drive has nothing to do with it man.

It was coming down hill on the Tauranga side, can anyone confirm where exactly?

Edit: Good to hear they are all ok, they will be shaken for sure!
