Chaser jzx100 HID headlights

Post by tourist »

Know some of you guys have done the conversion from halogen

Just wanted to know, are the HID versions a tourer V only thing, only or a series 2 only thing?

And do they just plug into existing loom, or will solder be involved?

Cheers for any info

wiring looks different from pics on yahoo. HIDS came factory with tourer v and s, but were prob an option on the rest of the range. If you got a hold of some would best off get it with all plugs and try and splice into the current loom

Mine being a Tourer V came with factory HID's with electronic adjustable height. If your JZX has halogens and you can't afford the factory HID housings ($$$$) just convert the bulbs to HID like what Nigel (LOFREQ) has done with his one.

Simple as anything. Park light went straight in. High beam connected straight up and you just cut the connector off your old low beam plug and cut plug on ballast and connect.

But honestly i would recommend going the extra mile and HID projector conversion that shit. A lot more work but original and worth it. 8-)
