Wheel/tyre sizes and offsets for JZX100

Post by dom »

This came up in discussion in another topic, so thought that it would be a good idea for it to have it's own place.

So everyone post a photo of your JZX100 along with what wheel/tyre size and offset you're running and whether or not you have problems/had make any adjustments to the guards etc.

Ill start,

Front - 19x8.5 +38 225/35/19
Rear - 19x9.5 +38 235/35/19
perfect offset to fill the guards almost bang on flush, I could go way lower (cant because of stupid big kit) and I dont think i'd have any problems with wheels scrubbing

Sorry about the crappy photo

perfect on front, rear could almost do with 5mm more offset IMHO

fender lips just need to be rolled/flattened, rear tucks perfectly, no scrubs at all - front scrubs tyre edge on full lock+suspension bump, however this is with 215/45 17, if you go 205/45 or 215/40 im sure thered be no prob.

FWIW, the equivalent mathematical offset for 18x9.5 if you want the same fitment as pictured, is about +22.

18x9 @ 15p with 215/40/18's Stretched.
Will require rolling of the front and rear guards if you're going low.

i run 18x9.5 et +26 all round with 225x45x18 on my x100. lips have been flattened, didnt require the guards to be pumped though, no tyre rub at all, with the arse dumped it almost sits credit card flush, with wheel bead outside the guard. they do rub the inner wheel bead on the front castor arm at full lock, (only just). wouldnt go any narrower offset on the front for that reason.
will upload photos at some stage.
cheers guys, chris.

Dwight do you think Yokohama should release a new series of street tyres for 2013?
