Wheel/Guard clearance for Cert
Anyone know what the go is for how your tyre sits relative to the guard? I was told you need to have a good 2 finger gap (between tyre and guard) but I thought as long as the tyre clears without hitting.

Aslong as they dont rub and the steering geometry is ok then it should be sweet. Your best to ring a certifier and ask though, just to make sure nothing has changed lately that i dont know about

Yeah I was gonna give them a call but Cert guys seem to be as inconsistent as WOF guys
. My closest Cert guys are in Tokoroa and Tauranga. Im hoping the Tauranga guy will be good as I know he will cert my car if I take the cat converter out.

Re: Wheel/Guard clearance for Cert

You have to have the cat to pass the emmissions testing. I ddont see how its not a cert issue. Its always the first thing they check on an exhaust
