Heard good things about the BC golds, Tein is ment to be the best for the big toyotas,
What street spring rates you reckon? 12 r 18f
What track rates? 16 r 22f
Jzx90/100 coilovers, what you got?
Re: Jzx90/100 coilovers, what you got?
bc golds seem to be the prefered street coilover,
standard are abit soft, but you can order them in stiffer rates..
personally im running tein type NA circlip type coilovers..
apart from being abit squeeky i cant complain about them at all,
not too hard, not too soft, very comfortable.
mine are 12/8 afaik
i think 14/10 or simmilar would be about perfect.

Re: Jzx90/100 coilovers, what you got?
BC Golds here, standard 12kgF/8kgR
Bit too soft for my liking, and even the upgrade to 14/10 which I will get around to do probably won't be enough either. I think it all comes down to personal preference really, and what you want the car for...
The Rasty JZX100 Mark 2 which did under 1 min at Tsukuba runs 16k/14k. Would love a set of their suspension

Re: Jzx90/100 coilovers, what you got?
I've got BC reds, they are pretty average. Way too bumpy for a road car. I possibly need to get them set up properly or something.
Re: Jzx90/100 coilovers, what you got?
bc reds are pretty rubbish from what ive seen, comparable to K sport or D2 ( same thing )
have you seen how bumpy that rasty car is!!? haha and thats on a racetrack.. crazy

vid? lol
im running BC golds with the 12 and 8s
i find it fine for the road and touge, but track racing its a bit soft in the rear end
find them real sturdy and tough,
i have had mine for three years with zero issues

Re: Jzx90/100 coilovers, what you got?
BC red and gold pretty much same, Just gold has better locking collors and just alittle better pillow balls etc.
Reds are fine.
When i have mine i will swap out the 12kg to the back and run some 18's in the front, I like mine to feel very tight on the road.

Re: Jzx90/100 coilovers, what you got?
Im running BC Golds in my JZX100 Chaser
12kg/f
8kg/r spring rates.
I find there is pretty good on a bout 2/3's hard on the damping adjustment, while the front is too soft even adjusted at full hard.
Would like to uprate front spring rates but first step is trying to track down some aftermarket swaybars.
So far i have blown lower bushes out of the rear shocks which Redline replaced under warranty no probs.
