2jz gte

Post by BIgfox »

Hello everyone. For a long period of time i am looking for 2jz gte engine for my toyota supra 1996.And for a place where i can swap the engines.Seems like one guy can help me for 800+gst(if everything will go well)But this bloody engine is impossible to find.On trademe they have one with 126000 on it and its way to much for me as my car is under 93000.EBay was checked as well but the engine with getrag will cost me 11000 as i need to pay for shipping and 15%GST.In addition i am looking for 6 speed getrag transmission v160 or 161.And i think i need wiring with it as i have no any idea how to do that.If anyone knows where i can get these parts please advise. And the milage must be around 100000 and lower. Thanks in advance

I don't think you will find a 2jz with under 100000km on it anywhere.

I would go for that front cut. It will have all the parts required. And it comes with the getrag box.
I could put you in touch with someone who could do the work as well.

yes i saw this half but the thing is i do not want this engine as the mileage is so huge.and the difference between the car 93000 and the engine 127000.I decided to wait till i will get a decent mileage engine or just drive it like that.to be honest i do not think its worth it.Moreover 8000nzd is not a reserve....

import an aristo engine from japan for around $2500, use the rest of the money to rebuild it and buy a v160.

Mileage is just a number and no one else apart from you is gonna know how many km's are on it, important thing is how well its been looked after. Rather have a meticulously maintained 200,000km motor than a neglected 100,000 motor.

Another thing to consider, if you buy a motor with <90,000km, chances are you're gonna have to do a big 100,000km service, cambelt/waterpump etc. Whereas if you buy something around 120,000 you shouldn't have to (but you'll want proof that the work has been done)
