V161 on a jzx110

Post by murdoko »

well, lets just say I can get a hold of a v161 6 speed getrag gbox from a guy who doesnt know how much it's worth ($1.5k delivered). Is it fairly easy to chuck this in an x110, or even an x100? From the looks of things, its shorter than an r154, hence, a remote shifter even for the Supra. longer driveshaft? I know designing and fabricating a completely new remote shifter is not out of the question. any other problems that I should anticipate?

length wise between the remote shift r154 and the v160 theres 20mm difference, and that difference lies in the shifter position

between the jzx90 r154 and the jzx100/110 r154 theres 100mm difference again in the shifter area

length of the gearbox is dam near identical, but i am unsure on width of the v160

i can scan my hyper rev book that gives a real rough idea on what to do

NVM guys, turns out he's a scammer. He 'doesn't' have a trademe account, he doesnt want me to use Safetrader, etc etc... he brought down the price to 1k delivered but he wants me to pay first. There's a lot more stuff i don't need to mention. pretty sure he's a scammer.. be careful when you guyz advertise 'parts wanted' stuff on trademe..;)
