JZX110 - w55 5-speed jzx100 conversion kit fitment

Post by murdoko »

hey guyz!

Was wondering if a JZX100 w55 remote shift gearbox conversion package would fit a jzx110? I saw a whole package including driveshaft and everything for a x100 and was wondering if it would fit mine (mainly the gearbox and driveshaft). I know the gearbox would fir but would the driveshaft be the right length? also, i would need altezza pedals, not sure if the x100 pedals would fit... cheers

I wouldnt get a w55 box, the gear ratios arent really suitable for a jzx. Get a w58 at the very least or just go r154 :P

Im pretty sure the non turbo manual ones run w58's. Here are the ratios for comparison below, you can see that w58 and r154 are very similar.

w55
First Gear: 3.566:1
Second Gear: 2.056:1
Third Gear: 1.384:1
Fourth Gear: 1.00:1
Fifth Gear: 0.85:1

w58
First Gear: 3.285:1
Second Gear: 1.894:1
Third Gear: 1.275:1
Fourth Gear: 1.00:1
Fifth Gear: 0.783:1

r154
First Gear: 3.250:1
Second Gear: 1.955:1
Third Gear: 1.310:1
Fourth Gear: 1.00:1
Fifth Gear: 0.753:1

where did you see the conversion kit for sale, i could be keen on one... especially if it has the centre console/stupid foot handbrake conversion gear
jzx = yes........ anything else = no

Toyotaz galore, i think they have a w58... Toyotaz is expensive but you can negotiate on the price
