Another jzz30 r154 issue. Speedo signal

Post by splatman1 »

1999 soarer is currently getting the r154 treatment. An issue we noticed was the 2 pin plug from auto loom and 3 wire plug from r154. Do the jzx100 conversions run into the same issue? If so what did you do to ger around it and get a speedo signal to the dash??
Cheers

Manual conversion JZX100's use the wheel ABS sensors to run the speedo.

This might help you:

Hopefully soarers are the same. Is that a splice into cable job or plug in auto ecu and it'll pick it up?

ABS driving the speedo works with both AT/MT ECU in JZX100 so soarer should be the same. Have you test driven your car yet?

Right you were. Ran car with auto ecus, got the transmission error and revs dipping to low to stall. Plugged in manual ecu for both throttle and engine ecu. Everything works perfectly except cruise control. Speedo worked without any tampering. Easy life.
