BOV installation

Just checking on the correct install of my BOV on my vvti 1jz. I just removed hose from stock valve, put SSQV on end of hose and took the vacuum line from passenger side of block. Do I need to block the stock valve? Or does the SSQV need to be closer to the throttle body? It seems to be working fine but just want to check with you guys. I suppose it's only temp until I get my front mount sorted.

yep you need to remove the stock valve. you can get a piece of sheet metal to block the existing hole.

Here are a few reference photos for you.

Mine is made with 3mm thick sheet metal which has been cut down to shape based on the factory BOV flange. (Thanks AJ!) didn't paint mine so it's gone a little rusty.
