1jz-gte problems

Post by albz259 »

Hi i have just converted my jzx100 mk2 grande to a x100 1jz-gte and r154. I started it up and it idles fine but as soon as i rev it, it just sounds horrible almost like its down a cylinder.... Is there any special wiring i have to do?, all the ecu seemed to connect up fine but there are 3 plugs off the engine harness down by the passengers left foot that dont seem to plug in anywhere? and i cant use fault codes as my dash dosnt seem to be getting signal from the engine.... has anyone here down this conversion on their car?. thanks.

Could be AFM, swap one from another car and try it. Is it using a GTE ECU? Those 3 plugs you speak of may connect to the TRC computer thats mounted under the glovebox.
