1JZGTE help

Afternoon Guys,

I'm having some trouble with my 1JZ soarer.

Typically it starts fine the first time you start it, but on subsequent starts immediately after driving the car will die. The revs dip until it stalls completely.

However after roughly 10 minutes it'll start up and run happily.

Any ideas? or willing to attempt diagnosis, I live in Central Auckland.

The car is totally stock and pretty high K's (240 000)

Any help appreciated, cheers

Try another ecu, some of the cap's inside tend to stuff out.

^ TT 1jz are MAP.

Have you ruled out the fuel pump ecu? Common issue on JZZ30s, and can cause the symptoms you describe.

In the diagnostics port in the engine bay, bridge Fp and B+, a piece of decent wire should do, or a paper clip. With this done you should hear the fuel pump running as soon as the ignition is turned on, and if the FP ecu is faulty the car will run and start fine.

You can run it bridged semi permanently, but the fuel pump won't stop if you crash the car and the engine stops.

Bridging Fp & B you dont need to turn on ignition.
