Hey,

Im new here and just wanted to make little build thread

Name: Sam
Where your from: Auckland, Northshore
What you do:School xD
Car you own:1988 cressida mx73
Mods and future plans: Coil overs, roofspoiler, boso straight through of some description :P 1jz/2jz...! hopefully
Next car you want to buy: not sure :/
Why you joined JZX NZ: Met PowderJZX very cool dude and invited me and happily accepted :)

So my story begins on my birthday when I purchased my first toyota, car was in mint condition and regularly serviced.
1988 Toyota cressida, 2.8L 5m-e fully standard

When I brought her home she sat like this

High as f@#k, Few week ends later and the springs meet mr. angle grinder :P

Starting to look good she soon looked like this,

Added my boso ring i got off trademe for style points ;)

Car was finished in time to get featured in NZ performance mag ;)

ahaha photo bomb, car styles

Nostagic hero meet came up, so i chucked on my mates watanabes,

And another boso ring for +1 style ;) and we cruized out there in.

First proper time taking the cressy to a meet, got some publicity which was cool :)

Was going to sell for various reasons, you may have seen on trademe, with the help of PowderJZX and the love for my cressida iv been persuaded to keep :P would be hard to see her go!

I am saving and planning to do a 1jzge swap! It going to be a hard task for me as iv never done a swap before and dont have a garage!!! but will be well worth it, the fun in the rain will be priceless :D

I look forward to meeting more of you guys and talking some shit about our cars :)

hey bro i saw this for sale on oldschool. i very much recommend the 1jz swap, im running a 1jz-ge in mine and have just put a 4.1 f series diff in mine and it goes so good now. compared to a 1g-eu it is un describably fast, have a locked diff being re-welded at the moment and will let you know how well it skids hahaha.
JZ = engine code
X = Chassis
71 = Series

therefore... jzx71
