When I got the car, there was a huge rust on the guard and first thing i did was repair it.

The car was primered before it was painted and painted the car the next day.

Now the car looks like it's back to normal :) Just gotta polish the painted bit so it blends in with the rest

Then had a few discussions with the gx and ex gx71 owners on how im going to lower the thing,

Have recently just bought a pair of ford falcon springs for the rear, gt4 st205 springs for the front and a muffler w/ single inlet dual outlet.

sw20 rear inserts soon to come

Pics will come soon, i can only pick up the gt4 springs and muffler on tuesday tho so stay tuned ;) can take pics of the ford falcon springs tho haha

Had lots of help from a lot of people specially from nige and david viewtopic.php?f=28&t=749 thanks bro

im gathering all the parts then putting them all together :)

Hey that car looks familiar!

I must say, keeping it simple works in my book. Clean up the little bits and it'll be sweet! :P

Hahaha nige, nah.

the only thing that was setting me back with my x 90 were the parts. They were so expensive. I don't have a real job like you guys. First thing i wanted to do was do a manual conversion. expensive...i bought the car so i can convert it to v8 but that didn't happen. Uni and teeth came so there goes the money. if it was manual i would've kept it. but being a 1gfe auto had a lot of restrictions to it.. haha.then i got an engine which was almost no costs at all. but decided to sell the whole lot. Had my mark 2 for nearly 2 years btw.. i was close to converting it but i've decided it was enough.

But this car, Is already manual :) Seems reliable enough from what i hear. suspension and everything = cheap as. thats all i wanted.. screw the 2jz and 1jzs for now haha. powerful enough to go onto a motorway and not struggle unlike my x90. My only plan for this one is lower and rims. THATS ALL! a car this condition deserves to be kept in its original form even the steering wheel, guard trims and gear knob. no dildo shifter and no CD player. Cassette tapes where its at!

To keep you guys updated. went to autobend to talk about the muffler i got from a mate. they said it'll produce a good sound.. its loud but not annoying loud and not too quiet. goin to ride boso style ;)

Got the gt4 springs for the front, falcon springs and ae86 racing shocks for the rears (will arrive soon). .. as for the rims, talked to the guy, it might have to wait for a while as i have a budget and i just bought a drumset for the studio. and don't really wanna spend a lot of money. but i will definately give it a go in a few months time :)

Oldschool cars only needs lowering and proper rims to satisfy their owners;)

Quick update,

have recently got my rims and painted them black temporarily bit they will be painted ** secret colour** exhaust to be attached next thurs

Image

This is what my car looks like atm, .. front seems a bit too high atm even tho its lower than the rears.. it looks nice atm and it catches a lot of attention now but it wont do me... I SEE A GAP.... so might lower it just a weee bit more at the front.. probably 20 more millimetres just so the guards dont look too high

car has dirt all over it hence needs detailing over the next few days :S The car is usually wider but having a cropped photo using a wide lens made it thin and no camber lol soz guys anyway seeing it in person is not the same as seeing the car in photo so we'll have to see during the toyspeed meet
