the standard fan is awesome but electric will work provided you make a proper alli shroud at the back. mr oizo has got a very good example of one :P

not that i know of, iv been putting the wiring off till last, i spent all sunday arvo tracing wires and pinouts on the supra body plugs and started the aristo body plug pinouts. as far as im aware the only thing i need to change in the engine bay is the main efi relay or something.

cars been running fine all week except for the boosting problem where sometimes the wastegate stays open or cracked and il only see about 5psi then next gear it boosts normally again. Took it away to matarangi for the weekend, defiantly loves the twisty bits took just over 2hrs to get there so wasn't taking it easy. car performed fine no other issuses than the boosting one.
Then about 20min into return trip im heading up the whangapoa hills and notice a bit of smoke coming out the back pull over and checked nothing was coming out the exhaust so opened bonnet and theres oil everywhere and it was dropping it like a running tap. Managed to get a towie to take it back to the bach, pulled inlet piping off to get better look of sump and oil return but they all seemed ok , then noticed oil dripping from the top cambelt cover hmm that ok pull ed the top to covers off and found oil all over the belt and gears WTF? im guessing the front seal or oil pump has let go? spose that will teach me to replace all seals on a engine thats been sitting

Will be the front main seal aye, pretty normal 2jz issue, as you will see when you replace it they don't really fit in all that tight to begin with. Some 2jz's seem to spit them out like no tomorrow where others are fine for 200,000 + km's. Quite a bit of pressure builds up behind that seal and the pump body especially considering the small drain back just behind the seal. The hole actually gets covered up a bit when the seal is fitted too. Some people that have had issues with it have tried to pin the seal or drill out the relief hole. But just try to replace it first before getting to carried away unless it becomes a big issue with pushing them out all the time.
