Hi,

Bought a JZX late last year and thought it was time I introduced myself

Name: Pele Douangsavanh
Where your from: Orig from Auckland, have now relocated to Hamilton
What you do: Storeperson (APL)
Car you own: 2000 GX100 5 Speed Mark II
Mods and future plans: Have a set of recaro rails coming through Hayatonka so I can install my Euro R recaro seats. 2jz swap. And maybe a set of te37s lol. Tourer V interior.
Next car you want to buy: When the Mark X supercharged finally gets to NZ, prob one of those with the 6 spd box from a IS250 hopefully
Why you joined JZX NZ: To meet like minded people

Just got sick of my auto jzx90 so when a manual gx100 came up for the right price I snapped it up. So far running factory w55 and im loving it.

Now I have owned the full trifecta of x chassis cars.(JZX100 Chaser, JZX90 Cresta and now GX100 Mark II) I guess you say I have no Verossa, but will never own one cause they are hideous and no amount of aero can make one look nice.

My x90 cresta is now for sale if anyone keen, its slightly more powerful then my new car but more boring to drive obviously.

P.S. W55 is such a slick shifting box, much better then the 5 speed mated skylines which are a bit clunkly

yeah u might have, though I have seen another exactly the same as mine in Hamilton but one of his headlights were out.

I was thinking of swapping for your Mark II before, but I love the look of the X100 Chaser so I think I will stick it out and buy either a turbo 1jz/2jz and chuck it in.

Yeah I saw it @ turners 4 years ago but I only had just bought my r34 skyline. Interior not greatest and needs a cut and polish bad, but body is really straight. Yeah took the fixed price, had been looking at it all the time it was listed.
From the looks of it would have been a jap taxi LOL

Yeah it looked like it was a taxi... but funny thing is it had such low ks when it came here!

Score on the facelift model! HUGE potential

1GFE + w55 is enough for a daily. LOWER it immediately!!

not too sure why a taxi had such low ks but, my theory is because during the 2000 model year jzx110/gx110 came out and they may have just got a deal from toyota to trade in the gx100s for gx110s plus not much more cash. Which kinda explains why most facelift gx100s imported have such low ks.
