Hi there,

This is my 1993 Toyota Cresta Tourer S JZX90.

This is the only photo that I have at the moment because I go around New Zealand a lot and I just don't have that much time to do a photoshoot. The photo is a side view because I would like to photoshop the lowering that time.

I joined JZXNZ because my brothers are members too and it would be good to cruise around with our "NZ rare" cars.

I like the Cresta because it has a very simple sedan body and it's a rear wheel drive, not to mention the double wishbone suspensions.

I have just got a few mods. It has got the TRD springs I got from a member of this forum. The headlights are currently the Philips +80s attached to a headlamp upgrade kit. It has got the DriftSpecBoyz 17s with Hankook Ventus tyres. I got the wheel-tyre combo from PowderJZX.

Here are some of the possible mods in the future:
original front lip
Tein S-techs (the TRDs may be a bit too hard for the mountain passes and long drives but it may just be the gas shocks)
front and rear tyre spats
an air dam
body rigidity parts
G3 HIDs retrofitted
a manual gearbox maybe - my auto is very, very well maintained

Thanks,

Thanks.

It's a challenge to be able to clean and detail a car which hadn't been tlc'd properly in the duration of its life. Taking the old smell away from the interior took about a day. What took a lot of time was the spilled coffee, soft drinks and chips on the carpet.

I cut and polish the exterior because it looked like the previous owner did it all by himself without even wetting the applicator/buffer. After doing the cut and polish touching the exterior now gives some sort of pleasure.

Here are recent photos. I just used my SK17i and it's no SLR.

The TRDs make the car sit a bit high but trust me, for 600km mountain journeys on chip seal, they're good. I just am not a fan of scraping. I can go a bit lower, though.

I have just replaced the radiator cap with a generic one. It looks like the previous one has warped because of age.
