Some general TLC to the exterior, headlight restoration, fix that problematic gas struts for the bonnet and the boot! cambelt kit replacement, some new brake pads
some dished mags, some coilovers, hopefully learn how to do some slides in this beast while keeping it a daily driver!
long term:
1JZ-GTE + R154 remote shifter?

Why you joined JZX NZ:
my first ever Toyota and a RWD at that. been hooked on to the JZX series for the longest time watching japanese drifters doing their thing. Just an unusual sense of a big 4 door Japanese sedan dancing on the tarmac!

Hope to meet some fellow enthusiast in the next meet and get more infos on this awesome chassis!

Good stuff, awesome starting base being genuine Tourer S as you have all the Tourer V goodies without the turbo, so bigger diff, factory handbrake, nicer Tourer interior, twin pot front brakes etc etc

Nice original example of X90 Tourer, will be interested to see its progress.

started working on the car today since its the holidays now.

removed the brake pads only to find plenty of meat left so the squeaking sound was not from the shims, not sure where the noise is coming from, cheap brake pads maybe?

also found out that, the front callipers are Single Pot! i thought Tourer S models have twin pots as stock standards?

nope only tourer V's iirc on the brake thing
easyiest to upgrade to either supra brakes or celsior items.
you will just need adapter nuts.
