So this is my 1982 Toyota Mark 2 Grande (gx61) that ive owned for coming up 3yrs now and ALOT has changed since the day i got it so ill try make a long story, short.

She started off completely standard. Here she is the day i got her after forking out $1500.

Then after replacing what felt like every relay, fuse and moving part in the engine, I decided an upgrade in the engine bay was needed.
It just so happened that my mate Ewan at Hayatonka in Japan stumbled across a 2jzgte in a wreckers going very cheap

Also brought in a complete W58 manuel conversion for a JZA80 which ended paying itself off

So with a bit off help from these

So then all i had to do was install the radiator, fans, intercooler etc before i sent it off to the boys at Garage Slipway so they could make up the intercooler pipes and wire it in.

After that, i picked her up and trailered it over to Evil_Si's house so he could make my S/S Exhaust

After that i installed the modifed S13 BC coilovers, an altezza torsen lsd and gave the wider SSR MK2s a lick of red paint. Then i was racing.

After making 223kw on the dyno, i thought i would give the drifting thing a go. Turned out that wasnt the best idea after having a run in with the armco at meremere

All was not lost though as the panels seemed to have taken most of the damage and the inside just required a bit of hard hitting lol.

I also did wreck a later model gx61 while i was waiting for the engine to arrive from Japan so i had a whole facelift front to fit

2 weeks later, it looked like this for the Performance Car shoot

Since then ive put my TRD lsd in it aswell as getting her all certed and WOFed.

Next step is to install my facelift rear bumper and just keep driving her
