han16 reporting in

Post by han16 »

Hey guys/girls, just thought I should pop in and connect up with some fellow toyota jz owners.

Name: Daniel
Where your from: Auckland
What you do: Lift Technician
Car you own: 97 Toyota Soarer, 1JZ factory manual

Mods and future plans:
Currently she has a downpipe back exhaust with a resonator, some 18x8.5(front) 18x9.5(rear) wheels, basic sounds mods. The car has been in my ownership for a couple of years now and slowly I'm piecing together what exactly I want from her. My initial focus is the cosmetics, the paint is in dire need of some touch ups with the addition of a low cut wing and I need to source some coilovers (decent ones) to complete the look.
After the outside is where I want it, I'm looking at picking up a BOV/Boost controller/ETCS controller/front mount.
From here its all a bit hazy...

Next car you want to buy: The Soarer is me for the moment, but if the opportunity ever arose...Mark 4 Supra.
Why you joined JZX NZ: A good friend posted up some pictures of a meet you guys had recently in town (Auckland), I meet up with the Skyline boys from SDU regularly, good bunch but they all drive the wrong dam car. Basically just looking for a bunch who drive the right car who like to meet up occasionally and mumble on about JZ's not RB's...

Thanks

Yea the photo hides the defective paint well, she suffers from the toyota paint cancer. However this will be fixed soon ~ returning her to the former glory.

Now I can get the respray done on the rest of the car!

Finally picked up a new boot lid plus the spoiler I wanted for $90, paint is bit tired but more or less the same as the rest of my car. No worries tho, car in for a respray next month!
The brake light works 100% too, will just disconnect the factory one on the rear parcel tray. Question tho, does anyone know if the factory one will need to be working even if I have the new one on the rear wing?
