welcome chap

have seen this car kicking around in hamilton abit,
also kept a close eye on it when it was on trade me

in my opinon ditch the super charger idea........way to expensive for a little gain trust me when my jzx100 was 1jzge i was going to vertex supercharge it but the kits are stupidly expensive, your best bet would be to n/a + turbo it
high compression turbos are the way of the future man

also the grile you have is just one of the factory option grils, from the pic's i have seen

but good luck dude with the mods

Had a bit of trouble with this car. Already had a ball joint break a yr ago and the wheel go uo into the guard. Wasn't even doing anything stupid, was just coming out of an intersection at normal speed! Was already broken half way through, think from a guy doing a wheel alignment at budget tyres. Toyota in Hams are absolutely crap at fixing it too! Still taking it back to fix the same probs from that now.

Thought i got the car for a good price back then even though i had to get th whole body kit fixed up cause it had quite a few cracks in it. Jap kits are too thin and you need to thicken them up before you put them on.
Yea i looked at those vertex kits already. The superchargers are an expensive way to go cause of all the upgrades you have to do to the engine too. Thought about doing the turbo upgrade or even engine swap. But you wouldn't see many 2js or any chasers out there with a supercharger, i like to be different hahaha.
Thought the grile might just be an optional one but just never another chaser with one. Know you can get the aftermarket griles that look similar.

nah you shouldnt have to touch the internals both the 2jzge and 2jzgte factory items are stupidly strong out of the box, so really wouldnt worry about that

different is all good, if you where going to run a supercharger set up you may as well do a full independent throttle set up ( 6 throttles ) with a supercharger, that would be awsome 100% awsome
ditch the electric supercharger idea as i cant see those producing enough pressure to blow a peace of rice off the table..google that shit dude theres alot of bad rep on those

chuck up a project thread in the members area with pic's and we will be able to identify your grill for you no worrys

perty sure this has the TRD grill like mine.
if you want to be different i would just go NA 2JZGE, cams, bit of head work. exhaust, extractors,
Ecu and tune. maybe turbo injectors / pump?
should see a nice power figure..
then just w58 it and you will be away laughing
