Jzx100 Toruer S to V

Post by FLAWLES »

jzx100 chaser/mark II/cresta has been one of my dream cars since they basicly came out, but never had the money to purchase one

then one day my partner and I went car shopping for her.............i came hoe with the tourer S she didnt get anything haha

but this was what it looked like when i brought her home for the first time

Image

bone stock other than hks hyper max springs and a full tanabee exhaust system
I loved it regardless of the vvti 1jzge, which suited my needs 100%

as time went on i added to its parts line up, since im a track hore i aimed my spending at handling items
such as
TRD front strut brace
TRD 1.5 LSD
TOM'S under car brace
cusco sway bars front and rear
BC Golds
RZ supra brakes which im yet to put on
and i slotted the standard front rotors for abit more stopping power

then i splashed out on some Work vs-mx rims in..
18 x 9 + 34
18 x 10 + 25

looked like so

after this i slapped a TRD filter in it for a smidgine more poke....and i bolted up a vvti 2jzge 6-2-1 stainless headers, end result was 115rwkw with a heathly amount of torque
i had intentions of running a six throttle ITB set up but plans change

Image
mmmmm nice ports
Image

then i found out that my beautiful girlfreind and i where having a baby........so i done what all good men do......sell there race car and buy a vvti 1jzgte  and put it with out her knowing
ahem

like so
1jzge out
Image

1jzgte in
Image

all done in one day
then the fun began
1jzgte vvti
weld valley cover
HDI intercooler kit, which i may add is very very nice bit of kit
blitz sbc id-II boost controller
apexi power intake
Rasty overflow bottle
sard r2d2 bov jzx100 kit ( i cant recomend this kit enough for jzx100/110 owners )
tourer v radiator and fuel pump

it was enough power for me.........at the time

as time went on the ct15b was giving up the ghost so since steve murch is a good family freind i sent a spare ct15b up to him along with the HPI and Rasty hi-flow spec sheet...along with what i wanted
and what i got back is the following

old exhaust wheel
Image

new exhaust wheel
Image

old intake wheel
Image

new intake wheel

now if i listend correctly the figures are like this
my old turbo was 34pounds per minute ( 450cfm i think )
new turbo is 54 pounds per minute and is now 750 cfm
it was a handfull on 10psi

then i ran into an issue with the turbo not gaining any boost over 10psi, thought it was the blitz sbc so i flicked that on and got an hks evc-s unit.......and what do you know........done the same thing
so then i slapped a hks 1 bar acutator on it........bingo sloved it 1bar all day every day

as time went on a bit more i pulled it off the road to do a few things to it, and i got offered a complete M-sport front for it from a top bloke jayzedex100 which i jumped at, and then i sold my work rims to suit the new cert laws ( only for them to be changed back to what they where :x ) and a dutched out and got some
dtm kalibers in white ( they where cheap )
18 x 9.5 + 30

dont look to bad but i really want cst hyper zeros and here we are today

dude tell you what. lets just bite bullet and group buy ourselves some CST hypers. you choose one color ill choose another, ok. 18x9.5 +22 all round on 215/40's will be perfect. then wait a few months for them to arrive. then we dominate. what say thee. im dead serious.
