Hi all!

Name: Liam
Where your from: Auckland
What you do: Suspension/Tyres
Car you own:GX90 Cresta
Mods and future plans: Manual/Turbo would be nice, having the money is a different story!
Next car you want to buy: Nothing planned
Why you joined JZX NZ: Car scene seems terribly dead these days, years ago when I had my first [shitbox] car (1986 Mazda 323 Limited Hatch haha) the streets were alive with car enthusiasts almost every weekend, its like a graveyard out there these days. Interested in the local clubs/like-minded people, could possibly offer discounted services to members if anyones interested

I apologise in advance for the photo quality, better camera is outta town

Anyhow, a customer recently gave me the opportunity to buy this after I oogled over it a few months back (A31 went up for sale that day haha)

was definitely in need of some new shoes! so I tried a couple on

it was at this point realised I didn't have enough stylish spec in my life so these went with the new kicks 8-)

Image

and for the time being i was happy being a number 1 dress up master (also, thank you to the previous owner who painted the stock brakes red, now vegeta cant even read my power level  )

Image

it quickly became apparent that the struts were very tired and i couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy these from Japanese Spares in Otahuhu

NSFW flagged as porn

first car ive had with Bilstein and i gotta say they were worth every penny (a better set of rubber is now a must)

im so happy with this car, Japan gets it. Thank you Japan. :)

and for the first time ever i think ill pay someone to do my tints, its next on the list if anyone can help me out!! :)

Looks good. Always nice to have a clean/unmolested car to build into something decent. :D

haha I totally agree with you, it is nice and ideally id like to keep the car as unmolested as possible

minus the red calipers and rocker cover the car was pretty much ontouched bar it being bombarded with orange bulbs in the dash/doors and overhead light

I lied though, I had some spare time this weekend and impatience got the better of me

Image

unfortunately the available tint roll wasn't tall enough to do the back window though D:

Whats the deal with tinting the back window? My car used to have it but the previous owner must have ripped it off. Is it completely illegal or can you get away with 20% or something?

The law is 35% all round for passenger cars/station wagons, however trade vehicles/vans etc can go as low as 0% on all rear windows and only require 35% on the front windows

Wonder if I could get away with 20% all round, I know it would be fine for wofs but not sure about police.

Depends on the cop, 20% is pretty easy to spot
