Hi Karl here, am based in Rotorua.

Here is something a bit different.
A 23 foot Keelowcraft tunnel hull boat fitted with a 1JZGTE.
The engine internals are standard (for now), but the head has a backcountry port job. Runs a single Holset HX-52 turbo, LS2 truck ignition coils and a Wolf ECU. Have a WB-O2 wideband and Haltech knockears for tuning.

Awesome! How long did it take to build? Any idea what its top speed might be?

Holy bejesus this thing is awesome!
Being in the water means the giant turbo isnt much of an issue with less resistance to the motor? (In regards to lag)

About 2 years to build as did everything ourselves. Does about 75-80mph at the moment. Still have to play around with the trim and jetunit intake to get it flying properly.

Yep that's correct as the jetunit doesn't really load up until 4000 rpm.
Motors get a hard time in a race boat as often you can run 20psi boost 5,800rpm for 30minutes without lifting off. Generates a lot of heat!

Here is a vid of our first testing. Had a Holset HX35 on it then. Crank the sound up!

Raw water from the jet unit goes through a sandtrap (hydrocyclone) and then directly into the water pump, water leaves the head and goes overboard.
