Tofu - Phil's JZX100 Tourer-V

Post by Tofu »

Hey Lads,

Image

This is my 1998 JZX100 Chaser Tourer V. Originally Automatic 1JZ-GTE, it was converted in Japan with a R154 with all the Manual interior trim before I purchased it. Bought it from a car dealer in Invercargill who had the car in storage for 3 years as they purchased the car before the import laws. First NZ owner and i'm loving it! Definintely my favourite car i've owned compared to all my previous cars.

Modifications have been kept light as the car is a daily driver, i'm poor and it sees up to 1000km a week so money is spent on fuel $$$. Next things to do are a turbo recondition/highflow as the current one is starting to puff a little blue smoke, clutch upgrade as the release bearing is quite noisy and a Torsen or Mechanical LSD as the factory diff is lazy.

Exterior:
Image
OEM Aero Front Lip
OEM Aero Sides
OEM Aero Rear Lip
TRD Grille
Rubber Duckbill Wing
8K HID Conversion
8K LED Parklights
8K LED Numberplate Lights
8K LED Highbeam Driving Light Conversion
8K LED Foglight Conversion
Facelift Style LED Rear Tail Lights
Junction Produce Badge (Gotta be Rice!)
Rear Guards Rolled/Lipped
Front Guards Rolled/Lipped
35% Tinted Windows
Custom offsetted WAAA P/Plates

Interior:
Image
Yashio Factory Gearknob
APEXi EL Boost Gauge
Full Interior LED Light Conversion
- 12 White LED's in each Door
- 16 White LED's in the Roof
- Key Barrel converted to White LED
- Cigarette Lighter converted to White LED
- Airconditioning Panel converted to White LED
JVC Double Din Headunit
Factory Amplified Speakers (removed factory subwoofer for porting)
Digitalus Ultimate 1200WRMS Amplifier (2 Channel)
2x Pioneer Champion Series Subwoofers

Engine:
Image
POD Filter
Full 3" Exhaust with 4" Loudpipe (1x Reso, 1x Apexi Mid Muffler)
SSQV Blow off Valve
.8 Bar Boost (Stock)

Wheels & Suspension:
Image
HKS Hipermax LS Coilovers (wound right down)
Either:
Wolf S1P 18x9 @ 15p
215/40/18 Nankang NS-2
Or:
Work VS-XX 18x8 and 18x9 @ 20p
225 SportMaxx Front
235 HP188 Rear (Chinese Smoke Tyres!)

Performance:
198KW @ ST Hitec in 3rd Gear (3rd hits speed limiter at redline)

Definitely keen to catch up and meet with other JZX/Toyota members to share ideas as it seems that the community of JZX owners in NZ is far more than first anticipated.

Regards,
Phil

Will see how it goes dependant on the weather. Have to drop the wife and motherinlaw at work in the morning so if I can make it i'll be a little late (coming from South Auckland).

haha, my motherinlaw has a shop in Otahuhu (by McDonalds) and I live in South Auckland so you'll probably see my car quite a bit around there :)

Will try and make it tomorrow, see how the weather gets on!
