Post by luc3unitJZX »

Hi guys

Owned this for a few months now. This is the old "CHASEU" JZX

Since i bought it, I had a stern talking to with a kerb at high speed. So has had a few sets of wheels on it now, and rear lip looking a little bit worse for wear.
Specs as follows

Supra Front brakes with slotted discs
FMIC
TIAL Q 50mm BOV
Tomei Fuel regulator
Walbro in tank 255lph pump (soon to be surged with bosch 044)
Greddy Emanage Ultimate piggy back (soon to be g4 extreme)
BC Gold Adjustables
Cusco front and Rear sway bars
Hardrace Rear Traction arms
Subframe locking kit.
19x9.5 and 19x10.5 ROTA GRID2s
Greddy Profec 2 Boost controller
Traction control removed
3 inch exhaust from cat back.

Heres some photos

W58 seems to be fine, It gets clutch kicked almost every day. Mind you the clutch has seen better days after our new years eve antics in it. 5th gear rev limit skids.

New Clutch should arrive next week!

Time to update this maybe lol

Since I last posted a lot has gone on.
I pulled the motor after i finished running in the new clutch (5 puk ceramic, sprung centre with 4300lb pressure plate, 8mm release on 12.5 poundlightened flywheel.

Pretty much wanted to tidy it all up. Removed head to check bore etc and freshen up valve seals. which has turned into:
HKS 264 Intake Cam,
HKS 272 Ex cam,
Full port and polish on flowbench
Kelford springs,
HKS camgear,
Sinco exhaust manifold,
Aftermarket intake manifold with 80mm throttle body,
full reloom and link g4 installed.
Relay box moved inside under dash,
all aircon gibbergash removed,
Engine bay seam welded and shaved,
Gilmour front pulley drives
id1000 injectors

Hoping to have motor remounted in hole before august. tuning sometime in that month.
Hoping for 350kw+ on pump

and hoping to have it all done and road worthy by mid september to early october. as a bit of panel work going on and suspension work.

Photos to follow in a few days

I've seen those Gilmors for sale but never actually seen anyone running them on a 1jz/RB etc. Need a vid when it's running!
