well just get a bell-housing? they're pretty cheap nowadays...

someones wrecking a 6spd altezza atm, and he's selling the gearbox conversion kit for $1100 only. 6speed gbox sell for 1k alone. Some of the parts will definitely not bolt up but because the Altezza and JZX110 share a few parts, maybe thats a good alternative for jzx110 owners?? ( a lil bit off topic.. haha mabye I should start another thread for this)

2jzge plus headers and good intake set up will alow you mild power with a crap load of torque to pull boats

keeping in mind this tho, to do the above with cams and a six throttle set up is a hell of alot of money for little gains other than max respect, and the six throttle set up would have to be made up, ( easy enough to do tho ) can use 4age 20 black top throttles to pull it off, then you would have to laser cut two flanges and then make up a linkage system, then ecu then custom headers etc etc

n/a bulids can be expensive but the sound they make omg!!!

I hated my 2JZ-GE's. Gutless, struggle to push out more than 120kw even with exhaust, pod filter and extractors, and even though they are a 2J they seem to have loads of little problems too. Don't waste the money if you don't have to, you'll probably just be disappointed in the end.

if youre gonna go ITBs on NA id say stick with a 1JZ, the square bore means higher RPM and a more responsive and revvy engine.

2jz is lethargic.

id be so keen to run itb's on mine, i reacon the pure noise of it would fully make up for the lack of turbo. People would run and hide, do it! You'll be the man oi. then when you get sick of it il buy the set up :p

ITB's dont seem like a bad idea.. after all na sound is really good - i can create those trumpets and laser cut the flanges at AUT Fabrication Workshop. if this is the case - i would have to put the engine aside untill i get enough money but i dont see the point atm.. i'll see how much it'll cost :) thanks guyz

ITB's are an absolute arsehole to set up correctly.

They're not too bad. I think part of the problem is that these cars (and Supras) are quite heavy, and the 2JZ-GE doesn't seem to make much power/torque down low like most big motors do. Still does skids, and that's all that matters
