r154 yeah! how much did the conversion set you back? having direct control of the engine/gearbox changes so much in the performance and handling of the car aye.

Top bellhousing bolts are entirely optional... usually optioned by people with midget hands :D
Haha, admittedly the missing bolts probably saved 20mins of frustration and swearing  Even so, it wasn't that hard to get the top 3 in when installing the new box, just do all the bottom ones up, let the jack down and the weight pulls it low enough to get a ratchet in there with a collection of extensions haha

Hmm, was $3500 for the complete package through Japspares, $650 for the custom built clutch, and about $150 for the fluids and other little bits and pieces. Yup makes a massive difference aye, so much more fun to drive! Need boost though!

Oh yep, mine was $3500 as well, although I've been using the standard 2nd hand clutch which came with it for 2 years now and only just started slipping when I got my new rims with 275's on the rear haha.

Where did you get your clutch done? and whats it like for daily driving?

Autoclutch in Kingsland. Dude knows what he's talking about, i'd only just walked in the door holding my clutch and he goes "ahh, Supra 5 speed".... close enough I guess  Keep conversation short or you'll spend half an hour in there hearing him talk about his 700hp HQ Holden

I wouldn't really recommend mine for dailying, but he can custom build to your requirements. I basically got him to build me a race/drift spec unit but specified that I wanted it to be friendly enough for occasional street driving, so he recommended a 6 puck ceramic disk with a sprung centre. The pressure plate in factory form is actually pretty decent, mine tested to 1800lbs of clamp force. Basic Exedy heavy duty kits are around 2200lbs I think. Mine is 3470lbs.

Despite that, the pedal feel isn't insanely heavy or anything but then I haven't used a standard one in these cars to compare to. Once your moving it drives really nice, but first gear and reverse are ruthless as hell! Gotta make sure you've got room in front (or behind) of you cause it has no slip at all, kinda gotta do a mini launch to get it moving. Would be absolute hell to drive during peak hour but I work night shift so it's not really an issue for me

First thing he'll ask is how much power you want to support so go in there with a figure in your head. Tell him its your daily but gets a bit of a flogging every now and then or something. I'd probably recommend a standard disk with an uprated pressure plate but i'm no expert haha.
