I thought the factory twin turbos had a problem fitting in the X90s?

Yeah apparently the twin turbos hit the strut tower, but I think there are ways around this?

For some reason I was thinking bout your car last night at work Thomas. I hope you're not underestimating the amount of shit that goes into an engine swap! :P

From what you were telling me on fb you've basically got a long block, and still looking for a head? You've got nothing else?

Just some ramblings off the top of my head.....

Are you sticking with the auto? As far as I know your current trans won't bolt up to a JZ. You'll also soon realise how badly open diffs suck..

You're gonna need a JZX90 turbo wiring loom and ECU.

Engine mounts

Intake manifold, throttle body and related parts/hoses etc etc if your motor doesn't come with them.

Front of exhaust will have to be modified to mate up to the dump pipe(s), may as well do a full exhaust as the 1G one will be fairly restrictive.

You need a front sump (from an Aristo, Supra sump won't fit)

You'll be wanting an intercooler and piping. Stock JZX90 stuff would be ideal, but hard to find. When I put an 4G63T into my Mirage I bought a massive box of random 1.75" - 2.5" pipes and a $30 VR-4 intercooler off trademe and built a shitty little setup until I could afford to do it properly.

Then there's all the little shit (usually the worst bit of any engine swap)... injectors, fuel pump (I doubt the 1G one will be up to the task, though I might be wrong), ignitor, resistor pack throttle cable, starter motor(?), random sensors and shit... trust me there will be things which you will overlook.

There's probably more too. Just make sure you know what you're getting into before you rip the motor out and then stand there going "oh shit" :)

a big single will solve your issuses haha

so you only have a short block? oh fun times are ahead
time to find a 1jzgte head and make a 1.5jz
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 846964.htm

wiring loom you should be sweet with either or, as long as its a jz loom you can make do with everything else rpm feed/fuel/map sensor etc, really no biggy at the end of the day, thats why wire crimping tools and soldering irons where created

if your trans is a a340e or a a341e give me a holla i have a spare jz auto bell housing booting about that you can slap on to get you going..........the only thing im unsure about is the torque conveter from the 1g bolting up to the flexi plate on the jz, all part of the fun if you ask me

fuel pump should be sweet, if my memory serves me correctly nige used a 1g one in his x100 2jz, i cant exactly remember what issuses he had, but it is wise to upgrade to a factory tourer v item of a bosch 044 unit

lsd.............torsen..........locker.............mandatory
