Hey guys and garls my names Sam, Ive just bought myself a 1987 Gx71 MarkII HardTop, was just on google and found this site.! Im new to all this, but my car is my passion and I love it to bits. scored her for $1500 with the wheels and with wof and reg.! So was pretty happy with the score. I havnt needed to get it a wof yet but ive been told by the guy who owned it b4 me that it passes wof's at its current hight! so fingures crossed I dnt have to find some standy springs. although they could come in handy I guess. The plan is just to tidy it up abit at the moment and fit some new 15" wheels.. Ive been looking on trademe, but really want some SSR's (blimmn expensive tho)!! so depending on my budget I might have to go with some Non-japanese wheels (witch im not to happy about) really want to keep it JDM as much as I can. I just got a Hang-Ring to put on the tow hook witch I think looks really cool!! and got a Rising Sun sticker to put on the gas flap. Hopefully it looks good!!

But like I say im new to all this.. so if you could let me know how to post pics(bit of a computer noob ), that will be awesome!!

1st 2 photos is how I bought it, Last photo is how it looks now.. Was unsure of what colour to do wheels so just went with something random

I got my hang-ring and rising sun sticker, so just put them on!

She has lil patches of rust witch I intend to fix over the next few weeks/months. Sux tho, because I dnt have a garage where im living atm, so all the work has to be done under the carport.. So that means i cant go the full montie on her. Ive also decided to paint the wheels black aswell. Think im over the copper.. Im not sure tho.. Anyone have an opinion dnt be shy to tell me like hearing peoples opinions.

These are the worst of the rusty areas. this 1st pic is behind the left rear wheel at the bottom of the chassis.

hey mate, welcome to the forums..

If you want to upload photos, just upload them to an external image web host such as imageshack. then, once uploaded, copy the URL (address) then insert in the function generated by clicking the URL button when typing.

ALso, if you're looking for genuine Jap wheels, I suggest you import one yourself. It'll cost you way cheaper. contact Ewan Paterson via hayatonka.com or just message him on facebook.

hey bro. nice as car. have u read through the cars ownership history. If u come across a surname "awan" that means my dad would have imported this back in the mid 90's. beautiful car. hope you bring it back to showroom condition and add some mild boso style mods. Keep it subtle i reckon !!!!!!
