Since they interfair with the beam, im not surprised they are illegal.

Save your money and start doing some REAL modifactions

haha im buying small bits and pieces to complete the looks but im going for a v8 sometime march or april once i get back.. v8, itbs, cams, ecu, 2.5" - 3" twin exhaust, shaved flywheel and terrorize pedestrians with that monster sound.. and probably supercharge it when i had the time and money i found a pair of eyelids in jzx100 for like 40 bucks or something lol not bad.. but im definately going for v8 now aye.. so i can enter car shows, coz it will be unique, i can get my brother to enginer the covers so i can crome or silver it, customized manifolds..you know all the good stuff.. and i'll go to garage slipway for conversion..

Geoff down here at Choke on the Smoke racing does great things with 1UZ's. He has the 9 sec corolla coupe, pretty sure it's still running the 1UZ. Mite be a good place for ideas on your build http://Www.chokeonthesmokeracing.co.nz

Speaking of 1UZ's, Speedtech just dyno'd one to 397kw atw. No boost. (possibly nitrous though)

397kw with no boost! must have NOS. I want proof!!

Just found out it does indeed have NOS. But has run a 12.65 @118mph without it (mph doesn't lie, and 118mph is pretty damn quick for a n/a motor without spray!). Wonder how much the ute weighs...
