Hello I'm looking for a 2jzge engine with loom and ecu and r154 Gearbox. I'm unsure what I want to pay for it but I want it sort of cheap.

Please Pm me on here or sent me a text on 021.254.3224

Cheers Matt.

No such thing as a w154 mate, you either want an r154 or a w55/58. R154s ain't cheap.

I'll have a 2jzge for sale soon with loom and ecu out of my jzx91, just recently done new accessory belt and tensioner, new spark plugs and rocker cover gaskets, runs good, still in the car now if you wanna see for yourself. What's it worth to ya?

I was looking to spend 500-700 on engine. I think I remember your car on a skid pad day a while back and your day was cut short because of the tensioner breaking. I was told w55/58s aren't to strong compared to a w154 and will break.

As said before there is no w154 it will be an r154 you are talking about
What are you planning to do with this package when complete?
Drive on the road like a nanna? Take it to a track day occasionally? Abuse like the mad d1 beast it is going to be? Turbo it?
If your closer to the start of that sentence a good w series box will be done for you
If your further towards the end of that sentence then you will want to look at an r154 or stronger (read more expensive) gearbox

arrg I dunno why I keep typing out w154 instead of r154 ha. I'm planning to stick with a 2jz non turbo and abusing the hell out of it and not worrying about the gearbox stuffing on me.

If you abuse the hell out of it you can break anything.
Gear strength on a w series is more than enough for a 2j na. That isn't going to stop you breaking selectors on flat shifts.
Ask Looonie he broke 2 or 3 behind an 1g

Hah, yeah that was me. I probably won't go cheaper than $800 tbh, most people ask around that price for a long block, I don't think you'll find one cheaper with a jzx loom/ecu. Should hopefully be pulling it out in a month or so, just gotta find a turbo for my 1j.

Any box will break if you're animal enough. I'd definitely recommend an r154 for track work, but it's a pretty crap box for street driving (not very smooth, generally a bit noisy, long shifter throw etc)

I would consider a W58 from a JZA80 or a GX100 if you were just running a standard 2jzgte. The only reason the aussies complain about them is because the W58s they use are 30 years old with 300,000 odd kms on them

Your saying the w58 can handle a lot of abuse? I could be interested in looking for one now
