JZX around the 4k mark

Post by adam_ry »

Hey guys,

Finally sold my integra (it was the black one with the evo 4 recaros if you saw it the other night). Since I'm a student, its preferable for me to have a reliable, cheap low k car. Yet I want bitches so JXZ it is!

Criteria:

Preferably 1990+
Around the $4000 mark
2.5L is the max I'll go, no turbos (insurance just won't insure it)
Under 200,000ks
Fresh WOF and current rego, also allow inspections.

If you have my car, or have seen one around PM me here :)

Hopefully be seeing all of you at the meets in my own soon :D

If you're after something cheaper with budget left over for mods, I'll be selling up my GX90 in the next week or so as I no longer need it. Low kms, reliable as shit and plenty of potential to build something awesome for heaps cheaper than you can buy.

I can vouch for his GX90, my parents owned it for years, then sold it to me, and then Looonie inherited it.
Perfectly reliable, never had any problems with it, and cheap as to run. Would be cool to see someone build it up :)

Its sad... its basically just sat in my driveway for about 4 months now... went to get a new WOF for it yesterday and the battery was flat... while hooking up the battery charger I was looking under the bonnet and visualising a 2JZ-GTE sitting there, with a rollcage in the interior (and a few other little things) :/

Had to repeat to myself a few times "Must spend money on house, not building up more cars..."

Haha bugger :( you got a work vehicle or something? Would be cool for sure, but yeah, gotta keep your priorities straight. No progress on the Soarers then?

Yeah, drive cars from work... which doesn't help my yearning for the old Mark2 (BF XR6 and Suzuki Kisashi come close, but nothings quite as "chuckable" nor gives me the faith I had in that car).

No progress on Soarers either. Probably need to clear out some space in the garage so I can actually get around it (smaller garage is teh gays), might be time to sell off the 2JZ and some more wheels perhaps even the 1JZ. I'm hoping by early next year I might be getting spanners onto it again.
