This car has proven to be an excellent tow car for the Mark 2 while still being extremely comfortable and ok on gas. I used it to tow the grande back from taupo, fully loaded with spares and still managed to only use ¾ of a tank each way while averaging 90/100km, even up hills.
It gets about 10km/l and thats about 80% open road/motorway work.
The air bag suspension still works perfectly for a car thats done 300,000+km and makes for a very comfortable ride, especially while towing.
Ive had this car for about 18 months, been through 2 warrents with just the tyres and the fan belt needing changed.
In the 18 months ive owned, its got:
-4 new tyres
-new denso spark plugs (1 week old)
-new Toyota thermostat (1 week old)
-new Toyota rocker cover gaskets
-new dissy O-ring
-new Toyota radiator cap
-some new rubber water pipes
-recently serviced with a new fuel filter
-ive installed a sound system that consists of a JVC double din head unit (USB and AUX ports), BOSE 6x9s in the back and Cadence 6”s in the front
-new fan belt
Cons:
-while the car is still in very good shape for its age, it has a few trolley dents around the place, including a one in the front passengers door that i pushed out but still shows signs of when it got hit in the carpark.
-These come standard with a steering box so the steering can be a little vague compared to your normal modern car. Ive never had an issue with it, its just a matter of getting use to it.

Even though this car is in excellent working order, its still to be sold on a “as is, where is” basis due to the high kms
Im wanting $2200 ONO
