Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,
Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Gave mine a cut and polish and painted a few bits and pieces that needed touch ups

You sure? Pretty sure B01B is open, as that's what I had and replaced with a torsen.
Easiest way to check is just hold down both pedals and see what happens.

That's what I thought at first that's why I always told everyone mine had an open diff. Do you remember what was the axle code on yours? was it M84? My conclusion was based mainly on the turn-in effect during hard cornering at exit when I step on the gas. I thought "maybe my diff's not open". Oh well maybe I have to re-confirm again. dont wanna waste my FK452 though so will change it to steelies first. :P

Okay, tested it tonight with 16" Tourer V Mags and Tyres. My car HAS LSD. OH YEAH

For future reference: B01B - M84 is LSD. Unless mines got an aftermarket LSD in a M84 shell (if M84 is open diff)

Letter on the end of the axle code on the build plate denotes whether it started life with an open or LSD. B is open, D is torsen LSD. I've also seen, but cannot confirm accuracy, a C code JZX diff which supposedly meant factory clutch type LSD. The code on the housing won't matter, especially given how old these cars are now and the potential parts swapping that's gone, but an open/torsen/clutch plate head will all fit in the 8" turbo housing - not at the same time though...

Not sure what the M84 code is, it's possibly which factory the housing was produced given that the vehicle build plate has a similar format plant code at the bottom.

And in keeping with the thread, I swapped back in my LSD today.
