Altezza lsd. Will it fit?

A01B 4.1 Torsen LSD, will it fit my jzx100?

Pretty sure the altezza have a 7.5 diff not an 8?
I am no expert but I don't think it will and shaft size will differ too.
Take that as a view/belief of a complete newb.

Is your JZX100 factory turbo?

non turbo factory and still non turbo, yes altezza crown wheel is 7.5inch

hmmm, i should fit, i think only the turbo ones has the 8" crown

so just to clarify, i have a jzx100 avante 1jzge auto, what factory altezza should i go for, coz im sick of this single spinner, its the only vehicle i own with an open diff, i remember why i hate them!! got to get it sorted, let me know what will fit, part numbers etc would be awsome. cheers

Throw me your chassis/frame number and I can give you a definite answer.

The 5AT non turbos (gated shifter) ones still use the 8.0" diff centre, the 4AT non turbos have the 7.5" centre.

Either way you'd need to swap just the centre, you wouldn't be able to use the 4.1:1 crowngear with your current pinion unless you have the complete diff head which (if it is the same A-Series 7.5" centre) should bolt in.

Check on your chassis tag, if it starts with a Bxxx it's the 8.0", if it starts with Axxx, it's the 7.5" diff.

Might have a shimmed up torsen A01B kicking around in a few weeks if yours turns out to be the 7.5" centre.

The altezza torsen lsd unit will fit into the gx90/100 diffheads. They are the smaller ones with 4 bolt driveshafts from memory. Pretty sure they wont work on the small & large 6 bolt heads though.

ok cool, yeah mine runs the a340 trans, (non gated) so it should be the 7.5'' diff.
could be keen on that shimmed a01b diff, is it just the centre, or the whole assy?
