Manual conversion

Post by modat »

I'm going manual with my 2003 110 I have all the parts and the r154 is going in. Still don't know if the drive shaft will need to be shortened or made longer or just buy a new one ex Japan ? Will put up pics of everything soon, in case more people want to do this over the next few years. Cheers

Good luck with the conversion as there's quite a bit of work involved, it will definitely make the car a lot more fun to drive though.

Quite a bit of work, well I wont be doing it as I'm no mechanic. But I did change the cam belt in my Soarer a few years back and the diesel pump in my Toyota Corolla. Ha ha, but I will leave this one to my mate whos worked as a mechanic for years. I would like to do it but it will take me weeks if not months, he will do it in a couple of weekends. Hope it all goes well.
Thanks to every one for their advice, its not going to be easy with all sorts of small stuff, like wiring etc that's difficult to get to the bottom of,

Is this the 110 that 'Go motors' were trying to sell for like 2 years? If so, apparently it's the only facelift IR-V in the country. Such an awesome car!
