Jzx90 starter problems

my brother has a jzx90 chaser 1jzge and it has recently started having problems starting. we pulled starter motor out and when explaining to automotive shop they said it will be solenoid. we could hear clicking each time you turn key to start but no life. we replaced solenoid with brand new part still same result, turns out its the relay we can hear clicking, any thoughts on why we have no go? also have put power to starter and spins perfect. seems like there is just no power to solenoid. help please..............

firstly check that theres power at the starter wire with a test light, pull the starter trigger wire off the starter and turn the key to start and see if theres power there with a test light, if theres no power there then its the starter relay or ign barrel or anything else in that chain, if there is then its the starter at fault, could be brushes or solenoid check both, also check the engine grounds even just disconnect them and reconnect them, sounds stupid but ive fixed cars with similar problems by just cleaning the grounds.
