are springs interchangeable?

i have just picked myself up a gx90 chaser
but wholey hell its high! I've had a look around and can't find any lowering gear for it. i was wondering what other models might fit?? or if anyone was selling any?

x9 and x10 have the same suspension, dont know about x11
x8 and earlier are different

mint that spreads the search a bit. any idea if other models fit like altezza? soarer? celsoir? etc? like nissan has heaps of interchangeable stuff was wondering if toyota was similar?

Having a similar problem and didnt want to start a new thread....
I am looking to buy new suspension for my chaser, the only quality option avaliable is a Tein soft 40-45mm drop set. Does anyone have these springs in their vehicle? would love to see a picture...
Has anyone compared Altezza GXE10 struts with gx/jzx/90/100? The top hats look different but they are easily changed but the rest looks very similar .... suspension is so much cheaper and more available for these cars. Just wondering if anyone else has had a play with this before i try to...
