Air in the clutch system

Hey guys,

I have this weird prob with my jzx.

The clutch wouldn't have enough pressure to disengage when you push the pedal.

So I tried bleeding the clutch system from the slave cylinder and filled up with the brake oil a week ago.

I thought I fixed the problem as it was very easy to change gears etc but now it came back.

What could be the problem here?

Master + slave cylinder problem? - leaking air at some point?

Slave cyl seal is probably worn or same in the master. Look at changing out the slave and see if that fixes it. If not it may be the master but I wouldn't think the master would fail, Toyota master cylinders are pretty hardy.

Hmm ok

Other symptoms I found were:
- it shifts a lot better after 30 mins drive
- but does not mean that it shifts better when hot
- it also feels easier to shift when the car is on a slope, front of the car situated higher than the rear.

clutch cover may be worn. Had something similar a while ago, clutch system had no feel but the system definately had no air in it and was bled correctly. Turned out the clutch cover couldn't hold any more pressure
