AC blowing only cool air... Heater not working

Post by murdoko »

So today, I went to Sylvia park. Turned on the heater. I noticed that its not blowing hot air so I set the temperature to max (32 deg). It still blew cold air as if the temp is set to max cold. Anyone had any experience similar to this?

will be one of a few things..
- heater tap is jammed on cold
- heater core has an airlock in it or is blocked
- car has no coolant
- switch is broken

Not sure how the 110 does it (heater pipes head behind the engine and I couldn't see crap), but on my old JZZ30 there was a vsv which operates the heater tap - that stopped working and I ended up with cold air.

Coolant level okay. I will check the switch coz that's easy. Will bleed the coolant when I have time. If all else fails, ill bring it to a specialist. Will keep this post updated for others. Thanks guys

Is the heater tap under the dash as well? Or is that part of the stepper motor? Pics of broken parts?

heater tap is attached to the stepper motor under the dash. fairly easy to replace, just need to remove the glove box to get access. I'll take pics and post it here later
