There are a few conversion kits floating around Trademe. Budget between $3-5k for the parts and labour (depending on the clutch setup you want to use as they're also quite pricey).

You should be able to run the Automatic ECU on the manual transmission. I'm doing this on my 100.

Where in NZ are you?
If you're in Auckland, "nite b" on the forum will beable to help with the labour :)

As Fu says, grab a 2nd hand box from a wrecker or buy brand new from toyota. Best to get new stuff for the little bits and pieces trim etc etc.
I got mine all brandnew, bascially go through the parts charts on toyodiy to figure ut all the bits you need. Niteb (Brendan) will be able to sort you out on install

Got mine brand new from Ewan Paterson @ Hayatonka.com and I believe he will still have the list of parts that you need to order. Andrew, correct me if I'm wrong but you used Hayatonka as well, right?

JZX110 box is different to JZX100 and JZX90. remote shifters are different. If you're using a jzx100 or JZX90 R154 then the shifter will be a few mm further back off the centre of the interior trim (closer to the driver but it will still fit) and you'd have to cut a bigger hole because of the bigger remote shifter mechanism that will hit the gearbox tunnel. Hit up Japspares, I think they have a spare JZX110 box lying around.

Thanks,
i might think of importing a jzx90 as they can come in due to the 20 year car rule, i didnt know it rolled on after 1989 but i did some research and now they can come in which is great because in a few years time jzx100's and 110's could come in again :D

Part Number 58804-22310-D0 in reddish brown trim is $140ish from Amayama. Note that this is a brand new component so is worth it if your looking for good stuff when no stuff is around locally
