Importing a car from Japan.

Post by driftouteast »

Hi guys, hoping your holidays are going well.
Im looking at importing a car from japan later in the year, but have never done it before and am unsure on who to use. I know some of you have done it in the past, who have you used?
And were they good to deal with. Ill be buying the car from over here, so will need someone in japan to check it out for me before purchasing.
Cheers,
Kurt

Which car are you wanting to import, out of interest? Also have a read of this: http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/facts ... icles.html as sedans cannot be complied, only coupes.

Haven't quite made my mind up yet, but it will either be an 86, gz10/20, or maybe a ae71 coupe

Jpctrade.com

90000 jpy agents fee. They use Skype too so communications really easy. They have someone to take care of NZ customers. They will provide translations. They can also arrange to include aftermarket bits ordered and installed while you're at it. They can do a special thorough inspection at a cost.

I got my jzx110 thru them.

Email Ewan at hayatonka and see what he can do.

I hear they are going back to the 20 year rule for importing again!!
