Re: My new JZX110 from Aussie

Yea now the car is wrapped up in a carcoon for the next two years so now its a good chance to buy all the gear i need and hit it all when it comes out of retirement. It's been moved to the middle of the desert and there's no way I'm letting the sand get the best of this car.

Re: Tofu - Phil's JZX100 Tourer-V

If you do replace it would you consider maybe a 6boost manifold? Kyle at 6boost makes a 25 or 30mm manifold to suit the factory location cheaper than most other options for the jzx apart from second hand stock.

Re: Tofu - Phil's JZX100 Tourer-V

Just a quick thought on the tomei rebuild, any plans to convert it to ball bearing or just the service kit and new journal gear? All the guys I've read/seen all just rebuild the journal but surely a BB conversion would be about the same cost as a rebuild.

Re: Tofu - Phil's JZX100 Tourer-V

wow nicely done. This seems to be more and more common now with these units. A few mates here in Adelaide have sent theirs off for the same thing.

You say rebuild but are you really meaning HKS replacement?

Re: VR25 Special

If you want to have a look at a motor that has the 1.5jz on a vvti set up have a look at the magician jzx110 thats stroked out to 3.2 for memory. 2j bottom end. Just be wary that the 2jz block is 20-25mm higher than the 1jz block
